Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern the IB and IGCSE tutoring and coaching services (“Services”) provided by Renzo Diaz, operating as STUDIA DI RENZO IVAN DIAZ DELGADO. By applying for, purchasing or participating in the Services you agree to them. For enrolled families they are incorporated by reference into the signed Client Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy.
1. Services provided
- One-to-one Mathematics and Physics coaching for the IB Diploma Programme, IGCSE, and related preparation.
- Services may include online lessons, diagnostic and strategy sessions, practice materials, study dashboards, AI-assisted resources, and written progress reports.
- Every session is delivered online and is recorded (see Section 5).
- Services may be refined over time; the core commitment — a documented weekly method delivered personally by Renzo Diaz — does not change without notice to enrolled families.
2. Application and acceptance
- Admission is selective. A limited number of students is taken each term so that each engagement receives the attention it requires.
- By applying you agree to give accurate information about the student’s academic situation.
- A place is confirmed only once the Client Agreement (which incorporates these Terms and the Privacy Policy) is signed and the first payment is received.
3. Fees, scheduling and cancellations
- There is no fixed public price. The fee is set at the intake conversation, calculated from the student’s level, the weekly cadence agreed, and the length of the commitment. The calculation method and the exact figure are stated in writing before enrolment.
- Applying and the two intake conversations are free of charge.
- Payment is made in advance according to the agreed plan. Persistent non-payment may lead to suspension of the Services.
- Sessions are scheduled in advance.
- At least 72 hours’ notice is required to reschedule a session.
- A session missed without notice is forfeited and is not refunded or rescheduled, except in a genuine emergency at Renzo Diaz’s discretion.
- After the 14-day withdrawal period has passed, and because places are limited and reserved, fees are non-refundable.
- In exceptional cases (serious illness, family emergency) an adjustment may be considered at Renzo Diaz’s discretion.
4. Right of withdrawal (Diritto di Recesso)
- Under Italian and EU consumer law (Art. 52 of the Consumer Code, D.Lgs. 206/2005) you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion, without giving a reason.
- To withdraw, send a clear written statement to the PEC address in Section 10 before the 14-day period ends.
- Any amount already paid is refunded within 14 days, by the same payment method used for the original transaction. If you asked for sessions to begin during the withdrawal period, a proportionate amount for sessions already delivered may be retained (Art. 57 of the Consumer Code).
5. Session recordings
- Online sessions are recorded and stored, and added to a searchable archive that the student keeps for the duration of the engagement. The purpose is to let the student revisit any concept and to let parents follow progress.
- Recording is a defined feature of the Service. Consent to it is confirmed in the Client Agreement; if a family does not consent to recording, the Service cannot be delivered as described.
- Recordings are handled and retained as set out in the Privacy Policy, and are not published or shared outside the family without separate specific consent.
6. Responsibilities and results
- The student is expected to attend, complete the agreed practice, and use the tools provided.
- Parents are expected to support attendance and to communicate openly about progress and any concerns.
- The Services provide a documented method and structured support. Outcomes depend on the student’s starting point, effort and consistency.
- No specific exam score, grade or university placement is guaranteed. Documented past results are offered as precedent, not as a promise.
7. Intellectual property
- Teaching materials, dashboards, AI tools and other resources are provided for the student’s personal use only, and may not be copied, distributed or resold.
- Session recordings and summaries: Renzo Diaz retains ownership of the recordings as teaching work product; the student is granted a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use them for their own study for the retention period set in the Privacy Policy.
8. Privacy and data protection
All personal data is handled in line with the GDPR and the Italian Data Protection Code, as described in the Privacy Policy. Student information, progress data and communications are kept confidential and are not shared with third parties for their own purposes.
9. Governing law and dispute resolution
- These Terms are governed by Italian law and applicable EU law, including the Italian Consumer Code (D.Lgs. 206/2005) where the client is a consumer.
- Any dispute is subject to Italian jurisdiction; where the client is a consumer, the competent court is that of the consumer’s place of residence or domicile.
- A consumer may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are, in any case, happy to try to resolve any issue directly first — write to the PEC address.
